For the artist painter I am, forests evoke the symbolism of wild nature and mysterious areas, sometimes strange or hostile, but often attractive.
Forests make me relive the ancient fantastic tales, the outdated legends populated by fabulous figures and imaginary animals.
To make a paint on the topic of forests is for me, to do an original artwork and also to take a great pleasure to draw a twisting branch, to bring out the contrasts between the diffused light of foliage and the shadow of copses. It is also to give free rein to my imagination, my fantasy and my inspiration.
