To paint or to draw small fishing boats is, for the artist painter I am, a great pleasure. Their graceful shapes, the diversity of their bright colors, give to the artist painters a well integrated scene for the seascapes.
The boats refer, for me, to the adventure of the the romantic and far travels but also the storms, the permanent danger and the hard work of sailors.

On this canvas I have depicted a maritime sealife with a small traditional fishing boat called 'flobart'. It is a beaching boat used on the sandy coasts of the north of France. Nowadays this kind of boat is used for leisure but a few days ago it was a working tool.
